Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ángel-Fabián Di María in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barnaba Zacharek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Mario gool's goalkeeper Barnaba Zacharek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ángel-Fabián Di María. In the 35th minute, Tanek Chojnacki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dibag Martinez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Leo Messi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Barnaba Zacharek made a huge save.

In the 65th minute, one of Mario gool:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mario gool. In the 70th minute, Roch Hoffman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Scaloneta's Ángel-Fabián Di María got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel Messi in the 73rd minute of play forced Mario gool's goalkeeper Barnaba Zacharek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barnaba Zacharek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel Messi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ángel-Fabián Di María came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the La Scaloneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ángel-Fabián Di María couldn't finish the play.
