The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Béla Koplárovics left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pénzügyőr SE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Carlo Loreto's late challenge caught a Pénzügyőr SE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlo Loreto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Burnley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Loreto to maneuver through the defense. Tamás Szepesi kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, Pénzügyőr SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balázs Vén to maneuver through the defense. Tamás Szepesi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dave Falcioni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alemdar Baykut in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bálint Földesi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the game, Pénzügyőr SE's Tamás Szepesi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dave Falcioni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 32 played minutes Burnley FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Africano. Róbert Sárosi charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Pénzügyőr SE's goal looked a bit too open when Alemdar Baykut came free, but Bálint Földesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pepe Payet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. András Vincze hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Dave Falcioni came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pénzügyőr SE's Tamás Szepesi. But to his dismay, Tamás Szepesi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Dave Falcioni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Béla Koplárovics in the 85th minute. Bálint Földesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alemdar Baykut in the 90th minute of play. Dave Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamás Szepesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Burnley FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pénzügyőr SE were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
