Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Panagiotis Bourousis started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Ognyan Filipov put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doychin Penelov, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Manos Papaiakovou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Dryankov in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Paul Romeo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Stayko Kalugerov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Moustos in the 19th minute of play. Ognyan Filipov scored 3-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manos Papaiakovou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stayko Kalugerov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikos Moustos, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Antonio Dryankov lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 25th match minute, Botev Plovdiv 1912 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Dryankov to maneuver through the defense. Stayko Kalugerov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ntinos Vounatsos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Botev Plovdiv 1912's goal looked a bit too open when Panagiotis Bourousis came free, but Stayko Kalugerov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ognyan Filipov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manos Papaiakovou was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. When Apostolos Antoniou fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Go Ahead Eagles's protests and gave Apostolos Antoniou a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Romeo made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Paul Romeo made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Paul Romeo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botev Plovdiv 1912's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Romeo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manos Papaiakovou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doychin Penelov in the 58th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panagiotis Bourousis in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stayko Kalugerov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ognyan Filipov in the 61st minute of play. If Ognyan Filipov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Doychin Penelov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Manos Papaiakovou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Go Ahead Eagles's Panagiotis Bourousis in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Go Ahead Eagles defense, Paul Romeo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. The Go Ahead Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manos Papaiakovou should have stopped the shot. Manos Papaiakovou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doychin Penelov went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 90th minute of play forced Botev Plovdiv 1912's goalkeeper Stayko Kalugerov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Botev Plovdiv 1912 fully deserved thier win.
