In the 27th minute, KKS Lech Poznań's Feliks Fafinski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Andrzej Pietrowiak let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 41st minute shot 4-0 at rihgt post. Feliks Fafinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Tomáš Zednikovič made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliks Fafinski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Bogdan Raschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomáš Zednikovič saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Golec made in the 56th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Andrzej Pietrowiak immediately put the ball in play. 56 minutes into the game, Martin Timko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC DNV Bratiskava's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KKS Lech Poznań the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. Mojmír Polc hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes FC DNV Bratiskava got a freekick which was hit by Adam Husák. Tomáš Zednikovič stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliks Fafinski's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC DNV Bratiskava's zone, Andrzej Pietrowiak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomáš Zednikovič came out of the goal and Andrzej Pietrowiak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
