An unexpectedly hard shot by António Mendes in the 34th minute of play forced AC米兰's goalkeeper 曹岩康 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 庞延益 helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 彭国青 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Academia Monte Gordo's Armindo Silveira got control of the ball when 彭国青 tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Salgueiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. 曹岩康 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Candeias was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. AC米兰's 庞延益 got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When António Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Academia Monte Gordo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Mendes couldn't finish the play. Armindo Silveira made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when 彭国青 sent off a good shot on target. Academia Monte Gordo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
