The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Kültepe Spor Kulübü defense, Pompiliu Cobzeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rüknettin Demirbaş. The Kültepe Spor Kulübü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rüknettin Demirbaş should have stopped the shot. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when FC Politehnica Timisoara's Junior Stover looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie got control of the ball when Orhan Veli Maksut tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC Politehnica Timisoara booed when Kültepe Spor Kulübü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doğa Ustam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rüknettin Demirbaş didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Politehnica Timisoara's Ricardo-Enrique Bochini shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. 31 minutes into the game, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Ricardo-Enrique Bochini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rüknettin Demirbaş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute, Junior Stover ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rüknettin Demirbaş was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After the first half FC Politehnica Timisoara were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gökberk Beytekin was the one to do the kick off. Teodor Lucaci hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökberk Beytekin in the 53rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Junior Stover kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rüknettin Demirbaş. That made the score 0-8 in the 54 minute of play. After 57 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Lovin. 60 minutes into the game, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Pompiliu Cobzeanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Junior Stover kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rüknettin Demirbaş. That made the score 0-12 in the 84 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Junior Stover managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Politehnica Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Junior Stover was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rüknettin Demirbaş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the game, Junior Stover was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kültepe Spor Kulübü the free kick. 91 minutes into the game, Gökberk Beytekin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-12. Tiberiu Mischie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Orhan Veli Maksut hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. FC Politehnica Timisoara's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
