After 17 minutes of play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gavril Niculiță made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Lidon was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Aurel Tilea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Emanuel Finteșteanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Lidon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Aurel Tilea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Reynoso came free, but Aurel Tilea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tomás Marini made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Agud came free, but Alberto Lidon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurel Tilea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Marini in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute Leonel Reynoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Tilea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Aurel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Marini in the 61st minute of play. Aurel Tilea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Marini in the 63rd minute of the match. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Teobaldo Benino got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Marini in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurel Tilea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 69 minutes into the game, Cornel Câmpeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT the free kick. In the 69th match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornel Câmpeanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 72ndth minute of the game Tomás Marini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Aurel Tilea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigi Câmpeanu in the 76th minute of play forced Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalkeeper Alberto Lidon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alin Agud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Finteșteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Alberto Lidon throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gigi Câmpeanu in the 87thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Aurel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Marini in the 92nd minute of play. When Teobaldo Benino came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Benino couldn't finish the play. Aurel Tilea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Marini in the 96th minute of the match. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC UNIREA Alba Iulia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
