The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murilo Peixoto. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. In the 9th minute Efrain Vilardell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ederono Ojero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Murilo Peixoto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zacarias Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murilo Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ederono Ojero, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Ciano came free, but Zacarias Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AFC CERBEROS booed when Atletico Maturrango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oso Sigali didn't get a good kick on the ball.
