Sporting de Gijón were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after 泾县Red-Star FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Perez took the corner. The corner ended in Mauro Perez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but 泾县Red-Star FC's 余桦德 did a great save. In the 24th minute of the match 泾县Red-Star FC got a corner. Sporting de Gijón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Babür Sarısaltuk ran over to the corner to take the kick. Boudewijn Decoster made a great header on 泾县Red-Star FC's corner, it was just that Sporting de Gijón's Fausto George managed to reach the ball for a save. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting de Gijón's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In a very dangerous position, a player in 泾县Red-Star FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Perez to make the kick off. Mauro Perez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 余桦德 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Fausto George yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Boudewijn Decoster scored 1-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto George, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Iliana during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Norberto Iliana hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Mauro Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting de Gijón's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 余桦德 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauro Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes 泾县Red-Star FC got a freekick which was hit by 韩延浩. Boudewijn Decosters short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Fausto George to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After taking down the ball on 泾县Red-Star FC's corner Babür Sarısaltuk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fausto George quite easily take care of the ball. Fausto George came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by 泾县Red-Star FC's Boudewijn Decoster. But to his dismay, Boudewijn Decoster quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 泾县Red-Star FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
