The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, ROSÁRIO SPORT's João Carlos Fernandes got control of the ball when Everardo Palban tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on JS 22's corner Darío Cvitanich fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Carlos Fernandes quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Waldir Mazza got a free kick in the 21st minute. After some careless play in the JS 22 defense, Osmar Rosario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Steffens. The JS 22 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Steffens should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd match minute, ROSÁRIO SPORT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar Rosario to maneuver through the defense.
