The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Boguslaw Bycofski ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Dionisio Ramos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 34th minute Dionisio Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Indyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliusz Banach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florian Indyk made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Reinaldo Calado sent off a good shot on target. After 42 minutes PTB Football Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristóvão Caetano who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Boguslaw Bycofski managed to get in a good position for a shot. PTB Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Boguslaw Bycofski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Valério breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrzej Sobczak made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Jorge Valério successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Reinaldo Calado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Filipe Poças was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. The supporters of PTB Football Club booed when Ponte do Carro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Poças didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrzej Sobczak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Jorge Valério made a huge save. Many of PTB Football Club's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. PTB Football Club may have spent more time on the ball, but Ponte do Carro were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
