Malcom Gauvrit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mich Batshuayi in the 13th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Louis Le Comte got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tristan Arioli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Olympique Fribourg's Bruno Steiner got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. En avant de guingamp's Malcom Gauvrit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Esiquio in the 43rd minute of play. Olympique Fribourg's Tristan Arioli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Olympique Fribourg from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mich Batshuayi was the one to do the kick off. The attack was good, but when Rodrigue De Castro in the 54th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to En avant de guingamp getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ghislain Couet hit a great ball. En avant de guingamp's Guy Cordeau got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Metzger to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigue De Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A well-hit corner resulted in Rodrigue De Castro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Mich Batshuayi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Malcom Gauvrit firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tristan Arioli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Nunes in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Matt Metzger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matt Metzger in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malcom Gauvrit saved En avant de guingamp from getting behind. Malcom Gauvrit made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Bruno Steiner sent off a good shot on target. Mateo Esiquio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
