After some careless play in the Olympique Fribourg defense, Arnaldo da Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tristan Arioli. The Olympique Fribourg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tristan Arioli should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Esiquio came free, but Hans Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnaldo da Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. Hans Österlund came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique Fribourg's Mateo Esiquio. But to his dismay, Mateo Esiquio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 54th minute Mich Batshuayi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zinédine Židan fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Di Röe's protests and gave Zinédine Židan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Zinédine Židan hit a great ball. Mich Batshuayi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Österlund having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Mich Batshuayi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hans Österlund. Di Röe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mich Batshuayi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Mateo Esiquio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Österlund having to interfere. Olympique Fribourg's Tristan Arioli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Eklund in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Mateo Esiquio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Österlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Di Röe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Olympique Fribourg.
