After 3 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Mugur. The long shot by Edson Pelé in the 5th minute really tested Adolfo Abar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Adolfo Abar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Sagrario in the 6th minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Geronimo Sagrario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Maci -MM-'s Adolfo Abar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 12 minutes, Geronimo Sagrario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quilmes and the FC Maci -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geronimo Sagrario kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Donato Nuxila charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Nuxila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Maci -MM- booed when Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Nuxila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mac Allister might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christopher Hawthorne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mac Allister ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Hotz to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Quilmes's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Lenin came free, but Christopher Hawthorne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christopher Hawthorne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mac Allister in the 36th minute of the match. Filip Pietras hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Quilmes's zone, Panait Piersic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Hawthorne came out of the goal and Panait Piersic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Quilmes's Rodrigo Delfino was substituted for Donato Nuxila. The wind increased when Geronimo Sagrario made the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Abar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry Jones in the 55th minute of the match. Mac Allister kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Terry Jones came free, but Adolfo Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Horea Cutieru. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Terry Jones managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Terry Jones was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Abar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Sagrario, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Mac Allister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Christopher Hawthorne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Victor Cojocaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Maci -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilmes the free kick. Quilmes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
