Luiz Leme scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christopher Hawthorne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Albano Ruisko's late challenge caught a Landulfos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Ruisko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Ruisko to maneuver through the defense. In the 8thth minute of the game Arlindo Vargas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quilmes's Christopher Hawthorne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Landulfos FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Arlindo Vargas hit a great ball. José Carlos Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Christopher Hawthorne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Martins did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Christopher Hawthorne 30 minutes into the match. Silas Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Sagrario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Gartzi to maneuver through the defense. Arlindo Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Quilmes's Christopher Hawthorne got control of the ball when Sergio Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Sagrario in the 45th minute of play forced Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Silas Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quilmes's Rodrigo Delfino was substituted for Donato Nuxila. In the 48th match minute, Landulfos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Vargas to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geronimo Sagrario made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Delfino got free with Silas Britto in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Quilmes's Albano Ruisko got a free kick in the 57th minute. Christopher Hawthorne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergio Martins's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Quilmes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sergio Martins was slow to take the kick. During this time Landulfos FC's players had a chance to rest. Landulfos FC's Sergio Martins was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christopher Hawthorne in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The attack was good, but when Arlindo Vargas in the 61st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 64th minute Rodrigo Delfino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher Hawthorne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Vargas in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Landulfos FC's Albertinho Castro got a free kick in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Geronimo Sagrario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Geronimo Sagrario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silas Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silas Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Sagrario in the 75th minute of the match. Arlindo Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Hawthorne having to interfere. Quilmes's Christopher Hawthorne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Vargas in the 84th minute of play. Sergio Martins struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Christopher Hawthorne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landulfos FC. Sergio Martins took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christopher Hawthorne. Christopher Hawthorne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Arlindo Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Hawthorne having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Silas Britto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Delfino. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Landulfos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Quilmes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
