VN SOKOLI-VARNA were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Castanheiro SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tzvetoslav Vúlchov took the corner. The corner ended in Tzvetoslav Vúlchov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Castanheiro SC's Fernandão Penha did a great save. Leonardo Trancoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haralampi Kúrkelanov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Eloi Ocomardia made the kick off in the second half. Haralampi Kúrkelanov was a little too slow when Leonardo Trancoso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-3. Fernandão Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloi Ocomardia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute of the match Dino das Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haralampi Kúrkelanov skillfully saved the ball. After 73 played minutes VN SOKOLI-VARNA got a freekick which was hit by Trifon Mladenov. Castanheiro SC's Fernandão Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rostislav Sitarski in the 76th minute of play. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tzvetoslav Vúlchov in the 77th minute. Leonardo Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haralampi Kúrkelanov having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Richard Martins got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the game, Vihren Bozhanov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. A collision led to VN SOKOLI-VARNA getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Vihren Bozhanov hit a great ball. Trifon Mladenov kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Hélder Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Trancoso got free with Haralampi Kúrkelanov in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
