The referee ignored Borussia Ostermoordorf's protests and gave Tino Decker a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Borussia Ostermoordorf getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tino Decker hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Yerko Papič ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aage Weiss was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Don Elias to make the kick off. Telo Metou kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Elias got free with Aage Weiss in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Don Elias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aage Weiss. The goal made the score 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Yerko Papič managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrio Norte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yerko Papič was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aage Weiss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandor Borchert in the 63rd minute of play forced Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Fernán Albonico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aage Weiss was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barrio Norte FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
