Cirilo Urki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boban Bobek having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Kočárek in the 24th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Niklas Sauter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andy Zeyer got his second yellow card of the match in the 27th minute. The referee ordered Andy Zeyer off the ground. Junior Adamu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ⚽Aston Punat⚽ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdir de Amorim was the one to do the kick off. Valdir de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute Ferdinand Pěnčík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
