An unexpectedly hard shot by Baptiste Demestre in the 2nd minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper José Ignacio Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tord Waller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Vaid in the 25th minute of the match. Juan Luis Dittborn struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Tord Waller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Chillán. Tord Waller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Luis Dittborn, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Meazza came free, but Tord Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Ignacio Rocha came out of the goal and Gaël Rats tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Le Stade Briochin UC's Tord Waller got control of the ball when Juan Luis Dittborn tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Juan Luis Dittborn got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tord Waller was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Luis Dittborn got free with Tord Waller in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Juan Luis Dittborn could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Tord Waller however easily saved by the left post.

Gaël Rats hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. If Baptiste Demestre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tord Waller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Vaid, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogerio Berecedo to maneuver through the defense. Inter de Chillán's Jorge Valdivia was substituted for Juan Luis Dittborn. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Javier Casas replaced Giuseppe Meazza. A collision led to Inter de Chillán getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Javier Casas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper José Ignacio Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baptiste Demestre. In the 71st minute Gaël Rats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ignacio Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Jorge Valdivia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tord Waller was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Javier Casas kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Le Stade Briochin UC's Gaël Rats nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Ignacio Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 86 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Casas came free, but Tord Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel Wassermayer hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Marc-Aurèle Hallier sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Inter de Chillán's José Ignacio Rocha didn't even have to move. José Ignacio Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaël Rats in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Casas came free, but Tord Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 minutes of play, Le Stade Briochin UC's Omar Cardot made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Ignacio Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Le Stade Briochin UC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
