After a rather tough play, Royal PSG's Maurice Chalaye got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 14th minute, Hugues Amar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brice Leach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Ribiere, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 16 played minutes Royal PSG got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Chalaye. When Maurice Chalaye came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Royal PSG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Chalaye couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Brice Leach, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurice Chalaye in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brice Leach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maurice Chalaye's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brice Leach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Maurice Chalaye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maurice Chalaye might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brice Leach. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurice Chalaye ran back to his position shaking his head. Bacary Filloux made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Gale Laliberté sent off a good shot on target. Brice Leach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Chalaye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurice Chalaye in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brice Leach saved Varennes from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Chalaye in the 44th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Brice Leach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Royal PSG's Maurice Chalaye sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brice Leach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurice Chalaye made a kick off. Varennes's Brice Leach proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Varennes from getting a goal against them. Brice Leach came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Royal PSG's Maurice Chalaye. But to his dismay, Maurice Chalaye quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Gale Laliberté came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Varennes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gale Laliberté couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Varennes defense, Maurice Chalaye kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brice Leach. The Varennes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brice Leach should have stopped the shot. Brendan Queinnec kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Bacary Filloux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ellsworth Lindsay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Varennes's Brice Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Chalaye in the 65th minute of play. Maurice Chalaye blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brice Leach having to make a save. Brice Leach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Chalaye, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Maurice Chalaye succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 73rd playminute. 79 minutes into the match, Ellsworth Lindsay notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Royal PSG's Bacary Filloux. Bacary Filloux was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brice Leach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Chalaye in the 83rd minute of the match. After 86 minutes Varennes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brendan Queinnec who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Varennes's goalie and right to Alphonse Auer. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Varennes's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Maurice Chalaye struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Brice Leach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal PSG. Brice Leach stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurice Chalaye's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The Varennes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Royal PSG's performance. The match ended with a win for Royal PSG.
