The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Silver Play 2's goalkeeper Tomás Lucila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júlio Pena. Fausto Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Carrio in the 14th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Otávio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Silver Play 2 got a freekick which was hit by Claudio-Darío Martel. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Szczepan Mosiniak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Danone CC's supporters rose to their feet, but Szczepan Mosiniak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Lucila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damazy Boruta kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Szczepan Mosiniak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silver Play 2's Tomás Lucila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Senna in the 22nd minute of play. Dinei de Medeiros hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Åke Ugla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silver Play 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Ugla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Szczepan Mosiniak hit a great ball. Tomás Lucila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Senna in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Júlio Pena reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tomás Lucila. The goal made the score 1-0. Carlos Alberto Passos hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Tomás Lucila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silver Play 2's Tomás Lucila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Senna in the 43rd minute of play. Tomás Lucila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Szczepan Mosiniak charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Szczepan Mosiniak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Danone CC's Otávio Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Danone CC from getting a goal against them.
