In the 15th match minute, FV Wienerwald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Remmers to maneuver through the defense. Norman-Alexander Wellmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danylo Bandera in the 17th minute of the match. With his leg Andriy Trubin managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when FV Wienerwald's Sven-Christian Kaindl fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sven-Christian Kaindl's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Andriy Trubin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Christian Kaindl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andriy Trubin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Norman-Alexander Wellmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Illja Klochko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norman-Alexander Wellmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Myroslav Akymenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The supporters of FC Ruh Lviv booed when FV Wienerwald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hartmut Wannemacher didn't get a good kick on the ball.
