After a rather tough play, Abutres 2003 FDP's Claudinei Ceresso got a free kick in the 12th minute. Caio da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tuncay Cansever in the 13th minute. Tuncay Cansever blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caio da Costa having to make a save. 16 minutes into the match, Tuncay Cansever dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Caio da Costa, 1-0. The supporters of Abutres 2003 FDP booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Kihlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Degerfors IF's Tuncay Cansever in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 28th minute, Degerfors IF's Tuncay Cansever dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Degerfors IF's 김 손 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Claudinei Ceresso in the 32 minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Cristóvão de Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Håkan Söderberg. Degerfors IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristóvão de Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's 김 손 got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murillo Bittencourt was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Tuncay Cansever left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Degerfors IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 64 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Karl Grep. Abutres 2003 FDP's Tony Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Åke Fors blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caio da Costa having to make a save. Caio da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Fors in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Abutres 2003 FDP's Luiz Paulo Meirelles got a free kick in the 71st minute. Åke Fors's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caio da Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Åke Fors left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Degerfors IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Åke Fors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Caio da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Åke Fors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Cristóvão de Salles took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Håkan Söderberg to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg got control of the ball when Paulinho Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Isak to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Åke Fors in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caio da Costa saved Abutres 2003 FDP from getting behind.
