Martin Palermo F.C.'s players were relieved. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Martin Palermo F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Salvador Roldán was slow to take the kick. During this time Cobresal's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Salvador Roldán almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Martin Palermo F.C.'s Martín Izquierdo did a great save. Martín Izquierdo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andolín Duvauchelle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. The coaching staff of Cobresal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zelipe Recabarren had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Martin Palermo F.C. booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zelipe Recabarren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Benicio Izquierdo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
