In the 12th minute Tadeo Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martín Izquierdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Eugenio Peio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martín Izquierdo. Eugenio Peio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 22 minutes of play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Sebastián Izquierdo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvio Benino was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute, Rodolfo Enaut made a precise shot to the right of Martín Izquierdo. Martin Palermo F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Tadeo Asier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dario Cordarrol hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Tadeo Asier made a precise shot to the right of Martín Izquierdo. Martin Palermo F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeo Asier was the one to do the kick off. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Tomas Gabirel was substituted for Rodolfo Enaut. Martín Izquierdo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Garin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Isaac Perrando charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
