SAN MARTIN MZA's Zeledon Markel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Cachiyuyo EAS getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Saturnino Porfirio hit a great ball. Zeledon Markel was a little too slow when Saturnino Porfirio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-1. Arnulfo Nataniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Ignacio Cianci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Jesus Abad got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute David Llope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Markel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Markel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Llope, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Guillermo Barros Schelotto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Ignacio Cianci in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Nataniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA defense, Sergio Derwin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Markel. The C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Markel should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Llope in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Markel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luciano Iraido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Markel having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sergio Derwin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Sergio Derwin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Zeledon Markel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th match minute, C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Urritz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's zone, David Llope stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Markel came out of the goal and David Llope tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th match minute, C.A. Zeledon Markel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Derwin in the 92nd minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
