Ensar Irgatbaşı hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Felice Selvaggi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th match minute, Buenaventura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Amaya to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Di Campli got free with Leonidas Barrera in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by André-Pierre Gignac in the 35th minute of play forced Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Felice Selvaggi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonidas Barrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Giannetta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If André-Pierre Gignac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Buenaventura FC's Miguel Urane got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Augusto Ciccone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felice Selvaggi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toro Martínez in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André-Pierre Gignac to make the kick off. In the 67th match minute, Buenaventura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Przybylo to maneuver through the defense. When Alessandro Ferrario came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Duri come il marmo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Ferrario couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 70 in the game by André-Pierre Gignac from a close distance when the talented Felice Selvaggi managed to make a qualified save. Duri come il marmo's players were relieved. Leonidas Barrera came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Duri come il marmo's Davide Galeone. But to his dismay, Davide Galeone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. André-Pierre Gignacs short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Felice Selvaggi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 90th minute André-Pierre Gignac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felice Selvaggi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferruccio Di Campli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Buenaventura FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Duri come il marmo.
