After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jurand Deput managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gert-Jan Van de Velde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes Jurand Deput could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-2 into the left cross. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Isaac Mingo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gert-Jan Van de Velde having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Mingo in the 74th minute of play forced De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Gert-Jan Van de Velde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gert-Jan Van de Velde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Mingo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute Isaac Mingo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert-Jan Van de Velde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Vassenius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armand Zimmer in the 84th minute. De Keikoppers's Kobe Vanneste was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Gert-Jan Van de Velde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Mingo's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Isaac Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot. RB Chubut's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Mingo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert-Jan Van de Velde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded De Keikoppers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RB Chubut.
