The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lino Raymond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastiano Cañon's late challenge caught a Mestre GG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastiano Cañon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Sebastiano Cañon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute Anthonio Zeppeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ got a freekick which was hit by Januário Gouveia. Tiago Somarriba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquinho Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Betinho Mangueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiago Somarriba. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Betinho Mangueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tiago Somarriba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Mangueira in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s zone, Chiquinho Sergipano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Somarriba came out of the goal and Chiquinho Sergipano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Betinho Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Somarriba having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Anthonio Zeppeli could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Francisco do Vale however easily saved by the left post. After 45 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Célio Munhoz. After the first half Mestre GG were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matthew Murguia to make the kick off. After some careless play in the ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ defense, Célio Munhoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiago Somarriba. The ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiago Somarriba should have stopped the shot. Francisco do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Murguia in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Betinho Mangueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mestre GG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Ximenes Arganzua was substituted for Matthew Murguia. Francisco do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthonio Zeppeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 82nd minute, Horácio Netto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiago Somarriba. The goal made the score 0-4. Chiquinho Sergipano struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Tiago Somarriba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mestre GG. Tiago Somarriba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chiquinho Sergipano went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Francisco do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ximenes Arganzua in the 91st minute of play. Francisco do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ximenes Arganzua in the 94th minute of the match. The ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mestre GG's performance. The match ended with a win for Mestre GG.
