Julian Savona hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Sliema Dragons FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Martin Mangion sped through FC Truseni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anibal Aritza. A collision led to Sliema Dragons FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Isaac Grimaud hit a great ball. Marcelo Severiano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tudor Buga. FC Truseni's Anibal Aritza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Grima in the 40th minute of play. After 42 played minutes FC Truseni got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Creangã. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Grimaud in the 43rd minute of play forced FC Truseni's goalkeeper Anibal Aritza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sliema Dragons FC's Martin Mangion in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They were losing 1-2.
The wind increased when Martin Mangion made the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Severiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Pãduret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, FC Truseni's Iosif Creangã sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Severiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 70 minutes Sliema Dragons FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tudor Buga who took care of the corner kick. In the 73rd minute Mircea Dadu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Severiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute Martin Mangion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Aritza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vadim Speianu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Sliema Dragons FC's Marcelo Severiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Creangã in the 83rd minute of play. Julian Savona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Aritza having to interfere. The FC Truseni fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sliema Dragons FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
