Gutierre Chamorro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 12th minute Jonatan Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Ismael Lehior made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Neuer. Real Unión CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victoriano Jerrold in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Neuer saved Real Unión CF from getting behind. Emanuel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Lehior, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Congo Bongo were awarded a corner. Erasmo Sengrat went to the cornerflag to take it. After 26 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Gizon. Congo Bongo's Diego Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yanne Callaerts in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Congo Bongo booed when Real Unión CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Magnus Torsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes, Congo Bongo's Vinicio Gizon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Neuer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Congo Bongo reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Jerrold in the 34th minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Emanuel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th match minute, Congo Bongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Gizon to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 37 minutes, Lavdi Eminaj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Unión CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lavdi Eminaj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermengildo Olivar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Neuer having to make a save. Xulian Curro kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Jonatan Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Neuer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Lehior in the 43rd minute of play. Jonatan Bortzaioriz charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonatan Bortzaioriz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Congo Bongo getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jonatan Bortzaioriz hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Emanuel Neuer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute Ismael Lehior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Gutierre Chamorro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Diego Ceresso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diego Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gutierre Chamorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Real Unión CF made a substitution. Mihnea Berceanu replaced Odilon Rozano. After 70 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Jerrold. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Lehior in the 77th minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Emanuel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 85th minute, Lavdi Eminaj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Erasmo Sengrat came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Congo Bongo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Sengrat couldn't finish the play. Jonatan Bortzaioriz struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Emanuel Neuer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Congo Bongo. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Real Unión CF had won after a very even match.
