Octavio Ferrer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Jerrold in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Diego Ceresso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Octavio Ferrer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Lehior's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Congo Bongo's Diego Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niki Bundev in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Yala booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Sengrat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonatan Bortzaioriz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Octavio Ferrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Lehior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
