With a left leg Julius Vanneste saved Limburg United from getting behind. Batuhan Yalazan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Debecker in the 26th minute. Julius Vanneste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Havertz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kai Havertz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Yves Schollens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Limburg United's Yves Schollens got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Wojciech Pracki notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Limburg United's Julius Vanneste. Julius Vanneste was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luke Demarez kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kai Havertz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd minute, Simon Du Sausois made a precise shot to the right of Batuhan Yalazan. Altar SK 1283's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 74th minute Wojciech Pracki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julius Vanneste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Limburg United defense, Kai Havertz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julius Vanneste. The Limburg United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julius Vanneste should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Limburg United's zone, Hristofor Voychev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julius Vanneste came out of the goal and Hristofor Voychev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Julius Vanneste successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wojciech Pracki in the 87th minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Julius Vanneste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batuhan Yalazan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Schollens, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Altar SK 1283 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
