With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermes Soveral in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Cellucci saved S.S.C. NAPOLI from getting behind. Alin Dragalina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lucrețiu Roșeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Carlucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorin Borza got free with Emilio Cellucci in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Emilio Cellucci got control of the ball when Alin Dragalina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sporting Royal's Lucrețiu Roșeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Micucci in the 31st minute of play. Emilio Cellucci didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Alin Dragalina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Emilio Cellucci made a huge save. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Frank Carlucci got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Claudio Micucci who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Lucrețiu Roșeanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hermes Soveral kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Alin Dragalina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. NAPOLI booed when Sporting Royal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Borza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alin Dragalina took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emilio Cellucci. Emilio Cellucci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 86th minute, Hermes Soveral made a precise shot to the right of Emilio Cellucci. S.S.C. NAPOLI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 89th minute, Alin Dragalina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Royal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 96 minutes of play, Sporting Royal's Dorin Borza made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilio Cellucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sporting Royal had won after a very even match.
