If Edvard Pilgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Labigne came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lars-Erik Hylander could save by the left post. Lars-Erik Hylander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paavo Burgdorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. If Ben Labigne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ben Labigne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Lars-Erik Hylander made a huge save. After 18 played minutes IFK Fölet got a freekick which was hit by Börje Ahlfors. Edvard Pilgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute Paavo Burgdorf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Hylander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börje Ahlfors hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match, Ben Labigne got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lars-Erik Hylander was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 25th minute, Börje Ahlfors hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 毛光风 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Till Geppert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Ben Labigne reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lars-Erik Hylander. Lars-Erik Hylander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paavo Burgdorf in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Hannover Reds got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Tróia. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Hannover Reds's Arvid Kuntz in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye IFK Fölet's goalie prevented a goal. In the 52ndth minute of the game Paavo Burgdorf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK Fölet's Lars-Erik Hylander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paavo Burgdorf in the 54th minute of play forced IFK Fölet's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Hylander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hannover Reds's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hermann Zach in the 57th minute. The corner led Hannover Reds's Hermann Zach to fire away a dangerous shot which Lars-Erik Hylander despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Till Geppert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Geofredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 60 minutes, Paavo Burgdorf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hannover Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paavo Burgdorf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When 毛光风 fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Fölet's protests and gave 毛光风 a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 64 minutes, Paavo Burgdorf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hannover Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paavo Burgdorf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 minutes Hannover Reds's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ove Mellberg who took care of the corner kick. Lars-Erik Hylander came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Hannover Reds's Paavo Burgdorf. But to his dismay, Paavo Burgdorf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 72 minutes into the match, IFK Fölet's 毛光风 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Till Geppert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 minutes of play, Hannover Reds's Arvid Kuntz made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lars-Erik Hylander was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Jonas Geofredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, IFK Fölet's goal looked a bit too open when Paavo Burgdorf came free, but Lars-Erik Hylander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paavo Burgdorf in the 93rd minute of play forced IFK Fölet's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Hylander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
