Lars-Erik Hylander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolito Neira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th match minute, IFK Fölet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Geofredo to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd match minute, Colo-Colo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Riffo to maneuver through the defense. Edvard Pilgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Marino Sadin made a huge save. In the 29th minute of the match, Jonas Geofredo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marino Sadin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Alexis Ardizzoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Manolito Neira sped through IFK Fölet's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lars-Erik Hylander. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Manolito Neira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Colo-Colo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
