In the 12th minute, Wilco Kosterman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verwachting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Juliusz Ptaszek struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Kees Veentjer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shaolin soccer. 19 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goal looked a bit too open when Szymon Faron came free, but Kees Veentjer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Shaolin soccer's Pankracy Pryla to fire away a dangerous shot which Kees Veentjer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bartosz Lech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Zoontjens in the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Shaolin soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud Geels came free, but Bartosz Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26thth minute of the game Juliusz Ptaszek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verwachting's Kees Veentjer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Dawid Sanocki put in a rough tackle. Dawid Sanocki hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Verwachting's Hendrik Hoekstra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Shaolin soccer. In the 31st minute Wilco Kosterman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Lech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Shaolin soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud Geels came free, but Bartosz Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Theo Zoontjens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shaolin soccer's Bartosz Lech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Theo Zoontjens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartosz Lech was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Roch Janiczek kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Ruud Geels might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartosz Lech. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruud Geels ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruud Geels to strike the kick off in the second half. Shaolin soccer's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pankracy Pryla in the 53rd minute. In the 59th match minute, Shaolin soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szymon Faron to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Verwachting's Wilco Kosterman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bartosz Lech. Bartosz Lech yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Verwachting's Theo Zoontjens got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bartosz Lech made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theo Zoontjens in the 71st minute. Ruud Geels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bartosz Lech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Shaolin soccer's zone, Theo Zoontjens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartosz Lech came out of the goal and Theo Zoontjens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Wilco Kosterman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shaolin soccer's Bartosz Lech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pawel Pazura kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Bartosz Lech made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Theo Zoontjens sent off a good shot on target. Shaolin soccer's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Ruud Geels scored to the left of an out of position Bartosz Lech, making the score, 0-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Verwachting eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
