In the 16th minute, AllRaf EC's Cauan Pena dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 19th minute Cauan Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Guderian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AllRaf EC booed when Sydney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Michel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florian Guderian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Márcio Massa went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Rafa Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Sydney FC's zone, Mathew Goncalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florian Guderian came out of the goal and Mathew Goncalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Márcio Massa got free with Florian Guderian in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute Ernst Schnur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Sydney FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gabriel Michel hit a great ball. When Cauan Pena came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the AllRaf EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Pena couldn't finish the play. After having played for 40 minutes, Márcio Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AllRaf EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pierre Möhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney FC's Florian Guderian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Sydney FC from getting a goal against them. Kees Plappert hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. AllRaf EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mathew Goncalves in the 49th minute.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernst Schnur to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Mathew Goncalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. AllRaf EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathew Goncalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florian Guderian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AllRaf EC's Wellington Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save AllRaf EC from getting a goal against them. After 59 minutes, Lauro Arce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AllRaf EC and the Sydney FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sydney FC! In the 86th minute there was a penalty for AllRaf EC. Mathew Goncalves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Florian Guderian. 3-0. When AllRaf EC's Augusto Pimenta in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sydney FC's goalie prevented a goal. 94 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Pimenta came free, but Florian Guderian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Cauan Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot. AllRaf EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cauan Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Pimenta in the 98th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Florian Guderian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 100 played minutes AllRaf EC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Pimenta. There was no doubt that AllRaf EC were the better team. AllRaf EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
