In the 4th minute, Leandro Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monge Mong in the 6th minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Oleg Timofeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oleg Timofeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monge Mong, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Leandro Damião notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev. Oleg Timofeev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Jano Cavalcante put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wellington Abraão. Oleg Timofeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Novaes in the 24th minute of play. Oleg Timofeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Carvalho in the 25th minute of the match. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Novaes in the 29th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Jano Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dinamo Colorado's Wellington Abraão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oleg Timofeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monge Mong in the 32nd minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Oleg Timofeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jano Cavalcante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Wellington Abraão made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jano Cavalcante in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wellington Abraão saved Dinamo Colorado from getting behind. Oleg Timofeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 37 in the game by Jano Cavalcante from a close distance when the talented Wellington Abraão managed to make a qualified save. Dinamo Colorado's players were relieved. 41 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Carvalho came free, but Oleg Timofeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Damião made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Silveira. After 63 played minutes Dinamo Colorado got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Brodel. Telmo Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Clóvis Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the game, Dinamo Colorado's Giovanni Prata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oleg Timofeev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The supporters of Dinamo Colorado booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Leandro Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montevideo's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oleg Timofeev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Trigo's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. A collision led to Dinamo Colorado getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Lúcio Catarinense hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Montevideo's Fiori Vasconcelos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Giovanni Prata kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oleg Timofeev. That made the score 2-3 in the 89 minute of play. Dinamo Colorado's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tadeu Brodel in the 96th minute. Dinamo Colorado's Tadeu Brodel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oleg Timofeev in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dinamo Colorado eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
