O.T.E's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martien Degenkamp in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stamatis Banasidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafael de Groot hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Carsten Maurits showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özen Baroğlu in the 36th minute of the match. O.T.E's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabian Niedzwiecki in the 38th minute. Ermis Panakakis was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Carsten Maurits showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özen Baroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. FC Bal op het Dak's Carsten Maurits proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Bal op het Dak from getting a goal against them. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Özen Baroğlu to make the kick off. O.T.E's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Martien Degenkamp 78 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Carsten Maurits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özen Baroğlu in the 87th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Martien Degenkamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stamatis Banasidis was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
