Barcellos Mineiro FC's Waldir Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fragiskos Koukoulekis in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Maximo Cloyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Diablos Rojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Cloyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute Tony Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Fragiskos Koukoulekis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Diablos Rojos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Waldir Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fragiskos Koukoulekis in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Doug Bermudez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldir Peres was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Los Diablos Rojos's Abelardo Bortzaioriz got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Giuseppe Camargo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogelio Barbosa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rogelio Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chu Liang Ping in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Vianna in the 31st minute of play forced Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Rogelio Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Barcellos Mineiro FC were awarded a corner. Giuseppe Camargo went to the cornerflag to take it. Rogelio Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chu Liang Ping in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Waldir Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doug Bermudez. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Fragiskos Koukoulekis hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Chu Liang Ping took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Rogelio Barbosa to make any attempt to save it. In the 57th minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Caetano Toscano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 60th minute Chu Liang Ping shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogelio Barbosa made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Chu Liang Ping sent off a good shot on target. Rogelio Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Vianna in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Los Diablos Rojos's Rogelio Barbosa got control of the ball when Chu Liang Ping tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waldir Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fragiskos Koukoulekis in the 91st minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fragiskos Koukoulekis came free, but Waldir Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Fragiskos Koukoulekis made a precise shot to the right of Waldir Peres. Barcellos Mineiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2.
