Laurențiu Popescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Duarte in the 20th minute of play. Alexandria Team08's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastian Ciolofan in the 23rd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Dobrea heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 32 minutes into the game, Noel Duarte recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Laurențiu Popescu. Hernan Constancio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute Manuel Amânaloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Constancio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Duarte came free, but Laurențiu Popescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the referee blew the final whistle, Beto Martini MZ 20 years could leave the field as winners, despite Alexandria Team08 having more of the ball for most of the match.
