Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulises Ramone took the kick off in the first half of the match. Oliverios Coya came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by ORIZABA F.C.'s Ulises Ramone. But to his dismay, Ulises Ramone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ulises Ramone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Tobias's late challenge caught a ORIZABA F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Tobias helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Leon Tobias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliverios Coya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Ramone, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by UE Cornella's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Albano Rodriguez was slow to take the kick. During this time ORIZABA F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. After 21 played minutes ORIZABA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Ramone. Carolo Cristos might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oliverios Coya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carolo Cristos ran back to his position shaking his head. Oliverios Coya stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Ramone's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Victorino Primo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ORIZABA F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulises Ramone in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliverios Coya saved UE Cornella from getting behind. With an all-out effort, UE Cornella's Gervasio Sazon threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Walme Vives, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 44 minutes of play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Dante Txema made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oliverios Coya was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute Victorino Primo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliverios Coya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, UE Cornella's Albino Bacete got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ulises Ramone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Oliverios Coya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Villalcazar during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When Dante Txema came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the ORIZABA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Txema couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind UE Cornella's goalkeeper Oliverios Coya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Primo in the 77th minute of play forced UE Cornella's goalkeeper Oliverios Coya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored UE Cornella's protests and gave Blanco Llinares a yellow card for diving instead. ORIZABA F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
