Corinthians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KOO Tigers the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Barros to maneuver through the defense. Romeu Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ertan Dural, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Müjdat Egelioğlu made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Edmílson Matorin sent off a good shot on target. Corinthians's Romeu Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ertan Dural in the 41st minute of play. Edmílson Matorin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Müjdat Egelioğlu made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ertan Dural to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Marquez in the 67th minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Müjdat Egelioğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 played minutes KOO Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Rodrigues. When the final whistle went the supporters of KOO Tigers were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Corinthians side.
