After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Vladimir Soares got a free kick in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Urbano in the 10th minute of play forced Vila Mascote FC's goalkeeper Donoghue Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corinthians's Romeu Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Sarmento in the 14th minute of play. Corinthians's Romeu Souto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Corinthians from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Peixoto in the 45th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Romeu Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernandinho Urbano to strike the kick off in the second half. Romeu Souto came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Mascote FC's Jean Sarmento. But to his dismay, Jean Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Romeu Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Sarmento in the 58th minute of play. When Natã Castro came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Vila Mascote FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Castro couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the game, Vila Mascote FC's Zhang Zheng Liang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeu Souto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Corinthians's Romeu Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Peixoto in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Vila Mascote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zhang Zheng Liang scored 4-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romeu Souto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Peixoto came free, but Romeu Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
