The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Aparicio Ladra could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Tomás Las Casas however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Aravena in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Moya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Aravena in the 9th minute of play forced Plaza Babys CF's goalkeeper Manuel Moya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bo Kristiansson took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Las Casas. Tomás Las Casas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Kristiansson in the 21st minute of play forced Magallanes's goalkeeper Tomás Las Casas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Plaza Babys CF's Manuel Moya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Fritz in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Magallanes's goalkeeper Tomás Las Casas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Magallanes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eric Heredia was slow to take the kick. During this time Plaza Babys CF's players had a chance to rest. Eric Heredia made a great header on Plaza Babys CF's corner, it was just that Magallanes's Tomás Las Casas managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, Magallanes's Manuel Moya threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Aravena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Fritz got free with Manuel Moya in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Plaza Babys CF's Jeremias Izaguirre quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rose Encina, made in the 95th minute of the game. Magallanes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
