Roque Montes was a little too slow when Joel Sabóia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-1. Roque Montes was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Ursino Silvestre capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ursino Silvestre really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 18 minutes into the game, when Jânio Lopez put in a rough tackle. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barrenta SC! In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Timo!. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Ilixo to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Humberto Mel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca got control of the ball when Rene Ilixo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute Mário Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Montes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roque Montes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mário Damião went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Roque Montes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Rene Ilixo put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Nestor Carioca. Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Mel in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Humberto Mel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Carioca was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Barrenta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Roque Montes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timo!'s Roque Montes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Alberto in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Rene Ilixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Timo! succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Barrenta SC had controlled the match.
