In the 5th minute, Son Adam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximino Cristofanini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Sifon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Real Madrid de Guatemala's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Wietrzychowski came free, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Buitenhout FC's Koos Alberts got a free kick in the 10th minute. The supporters of Buitenhout FC booed when Real Madrid de Guatemala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sasho Inkyov didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Real Madrid de Guatemala getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rolando Guevara hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Buitenhout FC's Son Adam got a free kick in the 17th minute. Real Madrid de Guatemala's Nicolás Guerrero couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Buitenhout FC. Sílvio Luiz Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koos Alberts, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferry Hebels got free with Sílvio Luiz Goiano in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Koos Alberts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Sifon in the 30th minute of play forced Buitenhout FC's goalkeeper Maximino Cristofanini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Cristofanini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Santamaria in the 31st minute of play. Buitenhout FC's Maximino Cristofanini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolás Guerrero in the 34th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmelo Sifon to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Ramzinski in the 65th minute of play forced Real Madrid de Guatemala's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobus Spoel in the 79th minute of play forced Real Madrid de Guatemala's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Cristian Santamaria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Cristofanini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Ferry Hebels left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buitenhout FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Buitenhout FC had played much better football throughout.
