The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferry Hebels got free with Nestor Carioca in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Koos Alberts came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nestor Carioca could save by the left post. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrenta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iwo Wietrzychowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Buitenhout FC's players had a chance to rest. If Ferry Hebels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Hannibal Lecter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Luiz Fábio Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Cristofanini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ferry Hebels came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Buitenhout FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferry Hebels couldn't finish the play. Ferry Hebels's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nestor Carioca firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Koos Alberts came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Buitenhout FC fans jumped to their feet. Nestor Carioca made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Koos Alberts sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the match, Buitenhout FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Sabóia came free, but Maximino Cristofanini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koos Alberts in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Carioca saved Barrenta SC from getting behind. Buitenhout FC's Maximino Cristofanini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ursino Silvestre in the 42nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Iwo Wietrzychowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nestor Carioca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51stth minute of the game Koos Alberts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fábio Lima during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Buitenhout FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Son Adam to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fábio Lima got free with Maximino Cristofanini in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koos Alberts in the 67th minute of the match. Nestor Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koos Alberts, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After some careless play in the Barrenta SC defense, Koos Alberts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Carioca. The Barrenta SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Carioca should have stopped the shot. Ferry Hebels scored 3-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Carioca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ursino Silvestre got free with Maximino Cristofanini in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferry Hebels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute of the match Buitenhout FC got a corner. Barrenta SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iwo Wietrzychowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Buitenhout FC's Iwo Wietrzychowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Nestor Carioca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Ursino Silvestre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Cristofanini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Sabóia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maximino Cristofanini. That made the score 3-1 in the 86 minute of play.
