After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Orville Jacobson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tonny Sneijder hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Garcia came free, but Raymond Bos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Larry Colby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Bos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Inmortales FC booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Masker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barry Masker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Toby Herget when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Inmortales FC's Toby Herget proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Inmortales FC from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Orville Jacobson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Raymond Bos made a huge save. In the 53rdth minute of the game Edward Verbeek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inmortales FC's Toby Herget was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toby Herget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Masker in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Inmortales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasper Agoos to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Lemel SV's Tonny Sneijder got a free kick in the 64th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Barry Masker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lemel SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inmortales FC the free kick. A collision led to Lemel SV getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Barry Masker hit a great ball. Barry Masker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute Barry Masker collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. When Julio Barr fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inmortales FC's protests and gave Julio Barr a yellow card for diving instead. Jan Sterenberg charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Sterenberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan Sterenberg hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lemel SV's Koos Teunissen got a free kick in the 91st minute. Toby Herget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serge de Boer in the 96th minute of play. The Inmortales FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Inmortales FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
